The Admissions Manager is responsible for ensuring the Admissions team provide a professional and proactive service to applicants for Further Education, undergraduate and postgraduate courses and to University staff. You are responsible for positively promoting change and supporting new ways of working within both the team of admissions administrators and the Academic Registry. You will also be required to initiate and implement enhancements to service delivery and the customer experience.
The Admissions team is part of the University’s Academic Registry department which also includes quality and standards, HE and FE course administration, and planning and management information areas. These areas have a high level of interaction and it is important that there are effective working practices and relationships between them.
You will be educated to degree level or an equivalent academic or professional qualification, have extensive managerial experience, as well as knowledge and experience of admissions processes and procedures within the education sector. You must also possess excellent administrative, communication, IT and organisational skills.
