University Services comprises of 1,600 professional staff focused on providing client-centric and innovative services to the University. The group is providing transformational change, defining and influencing future service enhancements, and acts as a shared services function within the University of Melbourne.
About the role
The Regional Manager’s core purpose is to realise the University’s international student acquisition business goals. Working in a performance-based and complex environment within a geographically dispersed team, the Regional Manager actively collaborates with the broader External Relations and Academic Division teams and key external stakeholders and influencers to build international audience demand and achieve student load and diversity targets, including leading a global strategy area in international school engagement, sponsored students, remote customer management, pre-departure briefing and direct-contact conversion and current student engagement/ ambassadorship.
About you
- The appointee will have: A postgraduate qualification in marketing, international relations, international business or related field and/ or equivalent significant experience.
- Proven experience and success in international student recruitment and marketing of educational services with the ability to develop, deliver and evaluate international student recruitment plans.
- Ability to undertake market analysis and work with stakeholders to identify emerging and unmet needs and recommend creative and practical solutions to increase market share
- Highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to negotiate and influence positive outcomes for the University and a proven ability to facilitate, develop and sustain relationships across a range of cultures
- Proven ability to thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
