 Position overview 

The Fenner School of Environment & Society is a world-leading centre for cross-disciplinary environmental and sustainability research, education and policy-relevant advice. Through cutting-edge research and insightful analysis, our academic experts create social, economic and environmental impact and deliver real-world solutions to address complex environmental challenges.

Sustainable Farms is a new and innovative project that is rapidly developing its scope and reach. You will support the project by developing and coordinating high quality communications activities to increase the engagement, awareness and adoption of Sustainable Farming practises.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will report to the Director, Sustainable Farms, and will work closely with both project staff within the university and in regional locations, along with Landowners, external partners in Local Land Services and Landcare groups.

Applications are invited from individuals who like working in a fast-paced environment across an interesting and varied project. The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communications skills with experience in developing effective, targeted and engaging communications materials. They will be proactive and strategically minded with the ability to supervise staff performing a range of engagement activities. You will also be excited about developing ways to share knowledge to improve agricultural outcomes for both farmers and the environment.

This appointment is continuing, contingent on external funding with an anticipated end date of October 2023 and may be extended pending funding availability.
