Role Description
Cranfield University is an international centre of excellence in research and postgraduate teaching in strategic areas of science, technology, engineering and management, directed by the needs of industry.


Sitting within our campus is our University Pre School for children aged two years nine months to four plus (or compulsory school age) is located in a residential area of the Cranfield campus surrounded by green open space. In our last three inspections by Ofsted, Cranfield University Pre-School was awarded Outstanding in all areas.


We are seeking an experienced individual to join our welcoming, diverse and highly respected Pre School which operates term time only. You will be expected to carry out the exceptional work of the Pre-School, working closely with our Pre-School Leader to contribute and maintain our high standard of Early Years education. You will be expected to deputise in the Pre School Leader’s absence and assist in providing high quality childcare through the promotion of safeguarding and welfare of the children.


NNEB or NVQ Level 3 qualified, you will have experience of working with pre-school children ideally in a culturally diverse environment, as well as some supervisory/ management experience in order to assist in leading an outstanding team. You will already be trained in Safeguarding, Prevent, Food Hygiene, First Aid and with a current DBS clearance, SENDCo training and previous experience in staff supervision is desirable.


Shortlisted candidates will be expected to visit and participate during a pre-school session. A DBS check will be required for this role.
