011532 – External Ad - Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Sociology, UCD School of Sociology (Temporary 1 year post commencing 1 Sept. 2019)
The School of Sociology at University College Dublin seeks to appoint one or more temporary Assistant Professor in Sociology. The duration of the appointments is 12 months, beginning 1 September 2019.
The appointees will be expected to teach 3 modules each in the areas of Qualitative and/or Quantitative Research methods, at undergraduate and/or graduate level, as well as, one or more optional modules at undergraduate level. We are seeking applications from individuals who will contribute to our goals of: further developing as a leading centre for sociological research and enhancing our international profile in this respect; advancing the innovation and expansion of our programmes; playing a central role in enhancing UCD’s position as an internationally recognised centre for academic excellence.
The appointee will carry out normal teaching, examining, administration and research duties and will contribute to other activities of the School as directed by the Head of School and/or his/her nominee. See below for full details.
95 Lecturer / Assistant Professor (below the bar) 2010 salary scale: €33,479 - €58,760 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guideline
