Responsibilities*

Develops, coordinates, plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates domestic and international graduate recruitment and communication plans, programs and materials for Flint graduate programs.

Serves as leader, advisor, and trainer for recruitment staff in the unit and assists in leading recruitment efforts.

Working with the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions, works to update and improve all communication plans within Graduate Programs Admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system - EMAS.

Works with faculty and staff among the five colleges/schools to highlight current students and alumni.

Along with the Associate Director, coordinates the development and implementation of recruitment goals and objectives.

Develops and manages content for online and print media, including brochures, direct mail, social media, websites, and other media.

Coordinates web-based promotions such as email and digital campaigns, search engine optimization, webinars, and social media.

Evaluates effectiveness of recruitment campaigns using available web-based analytical tools.

Manages the Graduate Programs website, developing and implementing innovative ways to make it an effective recruitment tool for information and engaging key audiences.

Assists in coordinating open houses for prospective graduate students.

Assists in the supervision of Graduate Student Ambassadors.

Works with the university’s faculty and staff and its public relations unit to increase media attention to graduate programs, faculty, and students.

Assists in the evaluation of international transcripts.

Works with the International Center staff to strategize the recruitment of international students.

Monitors enrollment trends and adjusts short and long-term recruitment strategies accordingly.

Plans and monitors recruitment budget.

Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum 3-5 years of college admissions/recruitment experience, marketing, and/or communications is required.

Previous experience creating and implementing college admissions recruitment/marketing/communication plans including print, website, social media, digital advertising, and other media communications is required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills

Demonstrated experience working independently and using sound independent judgment

Desired Qualifications*

Master’s degree

Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool

Experience using Google Analytics

Experience in an academic environment, especially in an admissions area
