To support the university at this exciting time we are looking for a University Secretary/ Chief Compliance Officer to be a member of the most senior executive team and ensure that Board of Governors and its committees are advised and supported, ensuring that high standards of governance are maintained and business is conducted professionally, effectively and efficiently. This role will also have overall responsibility for the University’s systems and procedures for ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and funding requirements associated with its operations.

The successful candidate will need to have a proven track record as a Company Secretary or similar role including experience of facilitating change in governance and Board practice and an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which a UK university operates. S/he will also need to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills and strong conceptual ability.

A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by UEL Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UEL.
