The newly created Institute of Women and Children’s Health is seeking to appoint a Technician to support Prof Karen Emond’s research group. This group is based in the St Thomas’ campus and is focussed on research in health care public health for mothers and newborns living in disadvantaged communities and improving the skills and tools available to the primary care and public health provider, especially tools focused on newborn, neurodevelopmental, mental health and nutritional interventions. The post holder will be working on the maintenance of literature databases e.g. endnote, literature searches, systematic reviews, basic grant preparation, grants set up in the electronic systems, basic data collection for research studies, basic data analysis, basic paper preparation.
The ideal applicant for this exciting opportunity will hold a bioscience degree and have some practical experience in managing databases. The candidate must have a flexible approach, be able to work as part of a team, have good organizational, record keeping and communication skills and be meticulous in their work.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent
