Position Summary:

The Research Assistant will join the multiple myeloma research group based at Flinders University which collaborates with the University of South Australia and SAHMRI on projects studying several different aspects of disease biology, including biomarker development and novel therapeutic strategies. The research assistant will form an integral part of the myeloma group, undertaking experimental work on one or more projects and performing general laboratory administrative tasks.

Molecular Medicine and Pathology provides clinical services in haematology, diagnostic laboratory services in haematology and the genetics of adult disease, teaches undergraduates and postgraduates in haematology and genetic pathology and has a strong interest in research, particularly in the areas of molecular and cell biology. The department is well resourced with access to a diverse range of facilities including DNA sequencing and proteomics.
