The University Registry provides expert administrative support and professional advice to the University in relation to academic administration, in addition to arranging key student-facing events. This includes the recruitment of students, student admissions, enrolment, the establishment and maintenance of the student record, including the assessment of students and the conferment of awards and graduation. Registry staff work closely with other areas of the University, including College Offices, Finance and the Student Support Centre, in providing a student focused service that is responsive to a changing higher education environment.
The Enabling the Business (EtB) programme will transform the student, staff and other stakeholder experience, supported by the delivery of a suite of integrated “best of breed” information systems covering Finance, HR & Payroll and the Student lifecycle.
The programme’s key objectives are:
- Transform the student management process, significantly improving the student experience from enquiry to alumni.
- Improve the staff and other stakeholder experience.
- Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, freeing up time for value-added activities.
- Facilitate self-service delivery and a “no wrong door” approach to administration and support via a “digital by default” policy.
Student Administration is looking to recruit a Graduate Intern to support them in the configuration of specific functional areas within the University’s new student management system.
The role will require working as a member of the implementation team to deliver a customer focused student management system which enhances the student experience.
In addition to the departmental role, you will also join the University's intern development programme, 'The Lincoln Award (Graduate Interns)'.
This is an integrated development programme and will include a range of workshops and group organisational project. The aim of the programme is to help you build up your key transferable skills as well as developing you both personally and professionally. The programme enables you to build a personal portfolio, allowing you to reflect on your learning and development throughout your employment with us, and also support your next career step.
It is expected that the successful candidate will fully engage in the development programme as part of this graduate intern role.
Please note you do not need to have completed the Lincoln Award at undergraduate level to apply for this position.
This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
The appointment is offered on a fixed term basis with a planned end date of one year from start date, and is fixed term due to the post being a one year internship.
