The Thrive Research Hub is situated within the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, at the University of Melbourne. Its key focus is on the sustainability of the built environment. Climate experimentation is by default multi-disciplinary and the Thrive team come from multiple disciplines and possess diverse expertise associated with climate change in areas such as technical, design, planning and governance.

The Research Fellow in Climate Experimentation will work alongside the Thrive Director Dr. Kathryn Davidson and colleagues, to generate knowledge and expertise to enhance the understanding of climate experimentation. He/she will help shape and build the future of this cutting-edge field of climate experimentation and urban futures research and policy making. The appointee will contribute to developing industry collaboration through workshops and other public events, faculty and university development of research capacity, and will work to progress a policy agenda with relevant stakeholders, including other academic institutions, partner organization and relevant departments at the local, state and Commonwealth level.
