The Faculty has nearly 170 staff and approximately 3000 students, one third of whom are international. It is responsible for the undergraduate Bachelor of Environments degree, and offers majors in architecture, landscape architecture, property, construction, and urban design and planning.
The Faculty’s graduate school, the Melbourne School of Design teaches accredited masters courses across the professional disciplines of Architecture, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Property, Urban Design and Urban Planning.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team, in our Planning and Finance Team, for a 24 month contract. This role will be responsible for all aspects of management accounting relating to reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of research projects and academic accounts including allocations from the University’s strategic investments.

This person will work under the guidance of the Manager, Finance and will need to design and prepare regular financial reporting, including dash boards. They will have a high level of involvement in the establishment and maintenance of databases and regular reporting to research and academic staff.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting with subsequent relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management and financial reporting as well as high-level communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

We welcome applications from current Continuing and Fixed-Term staff of the University and would consider Internal Secondment arrangements of 12 months or more.
