Position Summary    

The Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) at the Eller College of Management is seeking a non-tenure track Adjunct Lecturer for Fall 2019.

The MIS Department offers undergraduate, masters, and PhD programs in MIS. Over 5,000 students, including 250 PhD students, have graduated from these programs. US News & World Report currently ranks the undergraduate program #3 and the MS program #5 among all universities. The MIS Department is also home to multiple research centers including the Artificial Intelligence Lab, the Center for the Management of Information, and the INSITE Business Intelligence and Analytics Center.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Teaching MIS 585 (Strategic Management of Information Systems) in the Online MBA program in the Fall 2019 semester (September 2, 2019 – October 27, 2019).
• The position would require course development to begin 10 weeks prior to the course start date. Depending upon the needs of the department, the selected candidate may be invited to teach additional classes online or in-person, including classes for the Evening MBA program in the Spring semester in BOTH Tucson and Phoenix.

Minimum Qualifications    

• Master’s degree in MIS, Business Administration or related field, and
• minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Information Systems or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience teaching information systems to graduate students or working professionals.
