Job Description
The Associate Dean, Finance and Administration oversees Sargent College's administration, human resources, budget planning, marketing, research administration, information technology, financial systems, and facilities. This includes oversight of the College's entrepenurial centers including Physical Therapy Clinic, Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Sargent Choice Nutrition Center. The Associate Dean also oversees the operating and capital budget processes, financial forecasting/analysis, and serves on a variety of Sargent College and Boston University committees. As part of the senior leadership team, the Associate Dean helps to identify and evaluate strategic initiatives, guaranteeing the financial integrity of all college-level decisions. The Associate Dean is a key member of the colleges strategic leadership team, and serves as the primary liaison providing fiscal and strategic support to the departments and entrepreneurial units in a collaborative, inclusive, and consultative manner.
Required Skills
Master's degree, exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, more than 8 years of successful and increasingly responsible administrative and financial management experience required, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other applications in the Office suite. Preferred qualifications include: experience in a centrally budgeted academic institution, marketing and communications, facilities management and personnel management and human resources.
