The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the following discipline:

• Science Education (with specialization in Biology)

The Faculty of Education offers Bachelor, Master, and PhD Programs in different areas of education. Details about the Faculty of Education are available from https://www.um.edu.mo/fed/. The Faculty of Education strives to become a leading institution for teacher education and educational research in Macao, the Greater China Region, and beyond. 

Qualifications
Candidates should possess PhD degree, and should have solid evidence for teaching/research/service, with especially evidence and a record of sustained high quality research in the relevant expertise areas. Priority consideration will be given to those with a strong track record of publications in competitive refereed journals (e.g., SSCI, SCI or A&HCI indexed journals) in the relevant disciplines. Teaching experience in Life Sciences/Biology is also prioritized.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in January 2020.

Remuneration
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP800,800 (approximately USD98,700) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
