We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor/Professor who brings a wealth of experience of leading on research and knowledge exchange activities. As an institution, we are developing a growing reputation for research and knowledge exchange in sport and exercise and we can offer outstanding opportunities to lead and develop a dynamic research portfolio. We have a small but vibrant community of post graduate research students and you would be expected to supervise doctoral candidates within this area. With experience in any disciplinary field within sport and exercise, you will have the motivation and exceptional leadership qualities to plan and develop activity within our new Sport and Exercise Research Centre. Experience of PhD supervision to completion is essential, as is a track record of income generation. We have a strong ethos to ensure that research benefits our full student community and all staff are expected to contribute to teaching as part of their role.

You will aim to ensure the continuous improvement of the student experience and have the skills and experience to contribute to potential postgraduate curriculum development. You will need to have a clear appreciation of the connectivity between theory and practice, and be able to foster industry partnerships to promote this.
