The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for a Player Development Personnel (Sports Program Associate) to work in the Men’s Basketball program. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will report to the Head Coach and will be expected to prepare the student-athletes for personal, academic, and professional success while adhering to all university, department and NCAA regulations. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Create and implement individual development plans to ensure student-athlete alignment to achieve career goals.
  • Assist with housing assignments and monitor housing.
  • Identify opportunities for community service projects and lead all efforts.
  • Identify and engage in projects that promote student-athlete welfare.
  • In collaboration with academic services, guide and promote the academic success of student-athletes, providing a positive atmosphere conducive to the social and academic growth of the student-athlete.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in a related discipline; AND previous experience as coach or player at the collegiate level; OR working in an athletic department setting.  

The position often requires some evening and weekend hours.
