We are recruiting an Administrator to work as a key member of the Industrial Liaison Office (ILO).
The ILO aims to provide students within the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science opportunities to engage with industry throughout their academic careers. The ILO currently delivers an industrial mentoring scheme to all first year students, an internship scheme open to all students, a series of industry insight talks. The ILO looks at how it can broaden student engagement with industry and as such will be managing the placement provision of the new Year in Industry scheme for the Faculty.
The role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual who wants to get into this expanding and interesting area of work.
You will need to be willing to undertake a variety of tasks, have excellent attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy meeting and communicating with a wide range of people - from students and university staff at all levels, to industry contacts. The role will involve supporting the ILO team across a range of administrative tasks, and there will be many opportunities to input ideas as we develop the next phase of the ILO. There will be good training and development opportunities within the role.
