The Office of Precollege Programs (PCP) and Science and Math Investigative Learning Experiences (SMILE) is seeking a Research Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.

This Research Program Coordinator position provides a range of duties focused on financial management and project coordination for the Science and Math Investigative Learning Experiences (SMILE) Program and the Office of PreCollege Programs (PCP). SMILE’s and PCP’s mission is to increase underrepresented students’ success in STEM degree programs and careers by increasing high school graduation rates, and enrollment in college. These programs are funded by both Education General Funds and external grants.

The purpose of the Coordinator position is to: a) manage complex funding streams and provide long-range financial planning to insure program solvency, make strategic recommendations to the program director; b) organize, coordinate, evaluate, and monitor projects to ensure grant requirements are met; c) research funding opportunities, write, edit and submit grant proposals; d) interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project performance; e) oversee program financial processes and procedures.
