The Office of Budget & Planning team is responsible for the University’s financial planning, budgeting and cost analysis functions. We are committed to the financial viability and integrity of Tufts, providing sustainable annual and long-range operating and capital budgets and financial analysis that support strategic financial decision making by senior leaders and the board of trustees.
This position develops and oversees the University’s long range planning model, cost analysis studies and financial planning and budget analyses for the University. This position, alongside other personnel in the Office of Budget and Planning, will provide analysis for interdisciplinary and intra-University ad hoc complex strategic plans and business development initiatives, specialized peer analyses, ratios and other metrics, and cross-train/support the other senior analysts with work related to analysis and budgeting. Manages key relationships with school administrative and fiscal officers, manages within the Associate Provost Office For Research, and other customers.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
5 to 7 years of experience in financial analysis (accounting, planning).
Demonstrated experience working with senior staff across an organization.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong skills with excel, reporting tools and demonstrated ability to learn new software modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft financials, knowledge of Federal Uniform Guidance, Maximus CRIS Software for F&A rate development.
Higher education experience preferred.
