JOSEPH WHARTON, FOUNDER
In 1881, American entrepreneur and industrialist Joseph Wharton established the world’s first collegiate school of business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Professors Claudio Lucarelli (Wharton HCM) and Hummy Song (Wharton OID) are seeking a highly skilled and driven individual to work as a full-time Research Specialist for at least one year. The start date is subject to negotiation and may be as early as June 2019. The job will entail close collaboration during all stages of empirical research. Current projects span the fields of health economics and health care operations management.
Independent thinking; attention to detail; a strong foundation in statistics and econometrics; an ability to write clearly; and self-motivation are highly valued in performing these functions.
Minimum BA/BS degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Management, or another closely related discipline. Previous experience as a research assistant or pursuing independent research is preferred. Qualified candidates must be well versed in programming in Stata and MATLAB.
Preference will be given to candidates who aim to broaden their research experience before pursuing a graduate degree in a social science discipline.
