This is a fantastic opportunity to join the CELFS International Foundation Programme (IFP) team at a very exciting time of growth and transformation which aims to further develop the University of Bristol IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience. The new IFP Coordinator (STEM) will play a critical role in developing and leading the new CELFS provision of STEM subjects on the IFP, starting in the first instance with a range of Maths units. You will be required to design, monitor and evaluate the IFP STEM units to ensure that they enable students to succeed not only on the IFP but also on their chosen undergraduate programme. As part of this, you will be expected to liaise with the Schools and Faculties that students progress into as undergraduates, as well as the Schools that currently provide the STEM subject units.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can lead a growing, dynamic team of teaching professionals. You should have extensive experience of teaching Level 3 students with an international background, as well as experience of high-quality curriculum, syllabus and materials design which take a learner-centred approach and incorporate relevant learning technologies. In addition, you will be working in a busy and dynamic environment dealing with a wide range of ongoing tasks, so the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high level of autonomy is essential.

As a Centre, we adhere to the principles of collaboration, development, reflexivity, autonomy, transparency and transferability at all levels of our operation. If you feel that these principles are a good fit for your own, then we look forward to receiving an application from you detailing how you can contribute to the Centre’s success. CELFS is located within the Faculty of Arts and works with students of all backgrounds at all levels across a growing range of disciplines.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
