Applications are invited for appointments as Part-time Lecturer(s) for Specially Funded English Courses in the Centre for Applied English Studies (Ref.: 495661), to commence on September 1, 2019 for one academic year.
The Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) offers tailor-made courses to students and staff under its Specially Funded English Courses programme. The Centre is now looking for part-time Lecturers to teach evening and Saturday classes, with courses commencing in September 2019. Information about CAES can be obtained at http://caes.hku.hk/.
Applicants should ideally have a recognized Master’s degree in TESL/TEFL (or equivalent qualifications) with 5 years’ experience in teaching English at the tertiary level (or equivalent experience). They will be expected to demonstrate a proven record of effectiveness in teaching academic English across study disciplines (e.g. computer science, education, engineering, medicine, social sciences), and/or teaching workplace English to professionals.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
