Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 495697) (to commence on September 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in social work with a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in social work.  Preference will be given to those with expertise in teaching and/or conducting research in children and youth and community development. The appointee will be responsible for teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels as well as administrating the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Those with higher academic qualifications and not less than 8 years’ relevant work experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Lecturer.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At the current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of the gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable for Senior Lecturer.
