Exciting research based role requiring strong project management and relationship building skills
The University of Adelaide is a key Research Partner in developing the antimicrobial surface with Corin. Reporting to the Professor of Orthopaedic Research, with reporting responsibilities to the Principal Antimicrobial Consultant at Corin, you will work with laboratory scientists, professors and Corin commercial business leaders to assist in bringing this ground breaking technology from the bench to the bedside. You will be the main conduit between the University and Corin, capturing and transferring the outputs of scientific experiments into commercial objectives.
Corin are a leader in orthopaedic innovation and have pioneered a number of landmark orthopaedic developments since its foundation in 1985. Through these groundbreaking products, they have been able to improve the quality of life of thousands of patients around the world. Corin, in partnership with the Innovation Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre, is funding a $6million research program to market a novel antimicrobial surface that may be applied to orthopaedic implants and you could be a part of this exciting opportunity.
To be successful you will need:
- Masters, or PhD in Cell Biology (or similar).
- Proven project management experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial objectives.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Salesforce or equivalent project management tools.
