We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer who will contribute to teaching, postgraduate supervision, administration and research. Applicants must have the ability to teach at all levels of study and in particular have broad and in-depth knowledge of Statistics. Preference will be given to candidates with interests in one or more of the following research areas: Bayesian methods, high dimensional/big data or data analytics including statistical machine learning.

A research record of sustained excellence and a recognised contribution to the academic field appropriate to the level of position applied for are essential. You will also have demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching including the ability to lecture to large numbers and conduct small group tutorials effectively, along with the ability to contribute to the graduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and to maintain an active research programme. A PhD in a relevant discipline area is required as is the ability in obtaining external research funding.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year, and for Senior Lecturers is NZ$93,544 to $123,167 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
