We have two exciting opportunities for expert researchers:

Senior Industry Research Fellow (SIRF) - You will develop test concepts for applied research and assess test results from coupons and small-scale structures of conventional and novel materials. The SIRF will use creative methods to carry out testing, analysis, and improvement of, fatigue durability using post-test fracture evaluation. In addition, the SIRF will be responsible for research enhancements in the durability testing of full-scale aeronautical structures.

Industry Research Fellow (IRF) - You will develop unique test protocols and apparatus in response to research requirements and advise on novel and conventional material test protocols and apparatus, devises, trials and applies test enhancement approaches for research and evaluation methods. In addition, the IRF performs testing and explores novel test methods of practical fatigue resistance enhancement for light weight structures. It also supports testing and the exploration of novel methods for structural state awareness.

Skills & Experience Required

Industry Research Fellow (IRF) - You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience of contemporary structures and material properties experimental standards, methods and tools. You are able to independently operate and troubleshoot a range of servo hydraulic test stands, and/or complex controls systems and/or mechanical materials test apparatus. Previous experience in developing novel experimental protocols or apparatus for structures and materials tests. In addition, you can clearly communicate research results, concepts and knowledge.

Senior Industry Research Fellow (SIRF) - You will have demonstrated practice, including research publications, in at least one of the following areas: quantitative fractography and crack growth studies, full-scale structural testing, structural integrity analysis, fatigue crack growth analysis, novel materials or materials fabrication testing and evaluation.
