We are looking for an individual that will manage our mouse colony. This position requires excellent organizational and management skills. The individual will be responsible for tagging and tailing animals, isolating genomic DNA from tail samples, and maintaining excellent records of genotype results. In addition, this position will involve lab organization and ordering of reagents. There will be the opportunity to perform phenotypic analyses of the mice in our mouse colony.

A Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field and 0-1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong applicants will have some mouse colony management experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. The applicant should be willing to commit to this position for a minimum of 2 years. Some cell culture experience and proficiency with basic molecular biology techniques are preferred but not required. Position is contingent upon funding.
