The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Operations Team is responsible for information and educational technology, land resources, facilities, capital planning, safety, and policy. Under the direction of both the Director of Agricultural Operations and the Director of CFAES Facilities and Capital Planning, the Agricultural Operations and Facilities Project Coordinator handles a wide variety of administrative support and project coordination responsibilities related to projects and initiatives of the Operations team within CFAES. The position includes administrative duties, project coordination, fiscal support, and communications. Specific duties include: Coordinating ag operations and facilities projects and performing associated administrative duties to keep projects moving along to meet deadlines; collecting and summarizing requests from managers; prioritizing requests; tracking progress of facilities project repairs/construction and facilitating communication as necessary to avoid delays and keep projects on-time; providing administrative support for the Director of Agricultural Operations and the Director of CFAES Facilities and Capital Planning; serving as the first point of contact answering department phone and greeting visitors; calendar management, meeting coordination/scheduling, preparation of briefings, assisting with preparing and developing meeting content and presentation materials; attending meetings on behalf of the Directors when they are not available (Wooster Campus Administrative Cabinet, Operations Cabinet, Advisory Committees); assisting with the development, annual review, and revisions of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders; editing the content of the department website; in cooperation with the Director of Agricultural Operations and the Outlying Research Station Managers (Eastern, Jackson, Northwest, North Central, Western, Ashtabula), providing administrative support for the Outlying Research Stations Advisory Committees including scheduling and arranging the logistics for meetings, distributing agendas and meeting minutes, and maintaining frequent and positive communications with the committees; initiating fiscal transactions to order supplies and services as needed; arranging travel and organizing reimbursements for Directors and other staff; occasionally serves as back up to fiscal associates and/or assists with fiscal work during peak periods; partners with Associate Dean for Operations and other Director and Manager administrative support staff to coordinate activities across the entire CFAES Operations team; works closely with university-level offices that interact with CFAES Operations team; performs other duties as assigned.
