The University is seeking to recruit an Advanced Fitter (maintenance) within the Estates department. This position is full-time and open-ended working 35 hours, Monday – Friday, hours TBC.

The University of Bristol Estates Division is responsible for providing efficient, effective and compliant building and engineering services across all University buildings whether owned or leased. The University Estate covers three main areas of the Main Precinct Campus, Langford Campus and student accommodation.

This position sits within the Estates Unit of Facilities Management - Hard Services, which comprises of all planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, compliance, statutory maintenance and capital maintenance.

The main job responsibilities are to maintain the University Precinct building services in a safe and effective condition, providing a high standard of University teaching and research facilities.

The post holder will be an active member of the Facilities Management Hard Services team and will assist in providing and maintaining a high quality of service. The work is varied and interesting, the work will primarily be reactive maintenance, the post holder will also be expected to carry out planned preventative maintenance as part of their duties.
We are looking for mechanical building services maintenance fitters with significant experience and recognised qualifications to join our Precinct maintenance team of approx fifty people.
