Summer & Autumn Pre-sessional English tutors
We are looking to recruit experienced and committed EAP tutors to deliver English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes on our summer Pre-sessional English courses. These Pre-sessional courses prepare students for entry to their degree programme through development of academic language and skills.
We are particularly interested in tutors available for the Summer 10 and 5 week courses.
We also deliver Autumn Pre-sessional courses and will be recruiting for these later in the year. We would be happy to hear from candidates who are available to teach on both summer and autumn courses. Please clearly state the courses that you would like to apply for on your application form.
A full induction, course syllabus and materials are provided, and you will work under the guidance of a Course Leader. There will also be opportunities for CPD during the course. All our Pre-sessional English courses have been accredited by BALEAP.
Please note that we can only consider applications from tutors who already have eligibility to work in the UK as these posts will not be eligible for sponsorship under tier 2.
Coventry University has a Gold Rating for Teaching Excellence (TEF), is the UK's highest ranking new university (Guardian & Complete University Guides 2018), and is top university in the UK for international student mobility (HESA).
The Pre-sessional English (PSE) programme is a University-wide programme which has attracted students from approximately 50 different countries over the last three years and is well placed to provide high quality courses and be part of a truly international experience for our students.
We are recruiting EAP tutors for the courses listed below. Please note that the dates include an induction period and administrative days for report writing which are paid and require full attendance. A pro rata holiday entitlement is paid at the end of the course.
