Manager Food Services
Iowa State University Dining Services is currently seeking applicants for a Manager Food Services I position. This position manages the day to day operations of a large food warehouse facility that has 12 merit employees and 25-30 student employees and purchases over $15 million in food and supplies annually. Responsibilities include managing the purchases, deliveries, receiving, stocking and shipping of produce, beverages, special diet items, and commodities for over 26 Dining locations. The Manager FS I also establishes the budget for Food Stores operations with the Manager FS II and assists in updating and evaluating monthly rolling projections and maintains the monthly inventory of over $220,000. Other duties of the Manager FS I include the oversight of the bi-weekly payroll for full-time and student employees within Food Stores, serving as the main contact for student organizations and managing approximately 30 student organizations, communicating and implementing new and existing ISU Dining contracts, and coordinating requests of delivery truck service for Dining Services.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, knowledge of food and the proper presentation of food ideas/concepts, the ability to plan for large volume production, strong math and budgeting skills, strong coordination skills involving people and goods/services. This person must also have exceptional supervisory, time-management, and organizational skills.
