It is during this exciting time of growth that the University seeks to appoint a talented and ambitious Head of School. Reporting to the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health, the appointee will take strategic lead and management in the School. The successful candidate will engender within the School the vision of the University for excellence in research, student education and the student experience and externally to continue to build the reputation of the School. The postholder will also work in close consultation with the other Heads of Departments to create a truly interdisciplinary and interconnected teaching and research environment.

A truly outstanding academic, the successful candidate will be an academic leader with managerial experience commensurate with the Head of School role requirement. She/he will also be expected to demonstrate world-leading and world-changing research with outputs consistently recognised as internationally excellent in their field of Politics, and also be able to evidence excellence in the development and delivery of teaching and the promotion of student experience.
