Brief Description

The Post-Doctoral fellow (PD) will provide high quality research support in the areas related to developing IoT and Block chains based solutions for in healthcare data management.  The PD will work with the research team to develop solutions that aim to provide governance of access, control, and sharing of medical IoT (MIoT) devices and their data  The PD will provide high quality research and prototype development in areas related to Block-chain, IoT, cloud computing, embedded system development using RPI and Arduino, web application development applied to healthcare data management. To present research plans and findings leading to high impact publications contributing to the academic and research mission of the project in a convincing style, to understand research group management and assist in supervision of graduate students To establish contacts and network with colleagues pursuing a similar research agenda; and to organize and teach a class or a course if more inclined towards a teaching career.

Detailed Description

The Post-Doctoral fellow (PD) will provide high quality research support in the areas related to developing IoT and Block chains based solutions for in healthcare data management. 

The PD will work with the research team to develop solutions that aim to provide governance of access, control, and sharing of medical IoT (MIoT) devices and their data 

The PD will provide high quality research and prototype development in areas related to Block-chain, IoT, cloud computing, embedded system development using RPI and Arduino, web application development applied to healthcare data management. To present research plans and findings leading to high impact publications contributing to the academic and research mission of the project in a convincing style, to understand research group management and assist in supervision of graduate students To establish contacts and network with colleagues pursuing a similar research agenda; and to organize and teach a class or a course if more inclined towards a teaching career. Help PI and Co-I’s in writing and attracting funded proposals.

The PD will be involved in all phases of the project, conference/workshop organization, arrange for meetings, compiling, organizing, summarizing and/or presenting requested information; and conducting any other explorations, investigations, and studies relevant to furthering the research project or center activities.

The PD will report the progress to the supervisor and project team periodically; extend assistance to perform extensive literature search, document research reports and results for dissemination including journal and conference publications, patent applications. 

The PD will assist faculty in supervising and mentor-ship of MSc and PhD students working on center related projects and activities.

Job Requirements

PhD in Electrical and /or Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or Systems/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience

• Excellent programming skills
• Excellent communication skills 
• Evidence of strong publication profile in highly reputable journals
• Experience in developing solutions using Ethereum, Smart-contracts, Hyper-ledger and IoT device integration
