The opportunity

You will be responsible for identifying and developing value-adding opportunities including commercial large-scale research engagements and strategic initiatives that deliver knowledge-based products and services to customers, predominantly from Griffith's schools and institutes in advanced manufacturing, material sciences, digital functional design and medical devices, including Griffith's Advanced Design and Prototyping Technology Institute (ADaPT). You will play a key role in advancing commercial awareness and skills across the University and, along with key Griffith staff, engaging with customers to help shape strategic partnerships.

This is a fixed term (3 years), full time position predominantly based at the Gold Coast campus.

About you

As this is a pivotal and senior role, you will have 5-10 years of experience and a strong track record of success in identifying, conceptualising and developing commercial opportunities in the field of advanced manufacturing research and teaching assets.

The skill and ability to bring together research, intellectual property and commercial partners is essential. You will need to be a self-starter and team player. You will be given the autonomy and responsibility to make a significant contribution to Griffith Enterprise and the University.

Salary range

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant for this 3 year contract.
