RESEARCH IMPACT MANAGER

Salary £43,267 - £50,132

Full time, Permanent

Teesside University is a vibrant, modern university in the North East of England, with a reputation for academic excellence and for an outstanding student and learning experience, informed by engagement with research, business and the professions. £300m of investment will transform our campus and facilities over the next ten years.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Research Impact Manager to join our Research and Innovation Services department.

Leading on the development of research impact, you will work with academic leaders to develop and embed impact across and beyond the lifecycle of research and knowledge exchange activities and support UoA leads to maximise the significance and reach of impact for the current and future Research Excellence Frameworks.

A proactive individual, with an understanding of the research policy landscape in relation to impact, you will work in partnership with researchers, Research and Innovation Services, the Department for Academic Enterprise and Communications staff to plan opportunities for impact, maximise outcomes, routinely capture evidence and relate impact cases to underpinning research quality.

Successful candidates will have access to training and opportunities to develop their professional networks and national profile.

Teesside University is committed to equality, diversity and inclusivity; it holds an HR Excellence in Research award, an Athena SWAN Bronze Award, Investors In People Gold status, is in the Stonewall Top 100 and holds Disability Confident, Level 2 status. In March 2019, the University pledged to develop new civic agreements as part of the Civic University movement, and to embedding this approach across the regional, national and international communities it serves.

The Tees Valley is an enjoyable place to live – in the heart of the North of England’s coastline and countryside, with easy access to Durham, Newcastle and York.
