Research Assistant for theoretically studying many body localization and its dynamics The research will be conducted in the Condensed Matter Physics in the Refael group.
The Refael group is investigating a variety of directions for Floquet engineering and control of dynamical systems as well as localization and the dynamics of disordered correlated systems. The work could be applied to designing superior thermal motors based on MBL states.
- Duties will include understanding the role of a non-hermition hopping on many body localizations. These efforts will contribute to the study of MBL ratchets as well. T Research will combine numerical and analytical methods
- Applicant must have a PhD in theoretical physics and experience in numerical analysis of many-body quantum systems, as well as familiarity with analytical approaches to quantum systems such as green function methods, renormalization group, and tensor methods
- Programming experience, theoretical research experience, track record or refereed published papers
