Applications are invited for appointment as Part-time Research Consultant (at the rank of Principal Lecturer) in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 495652), to commence as soon as possible for one year.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chinese Language Education. They should have over 20 years of research and teaching experience in tertiary institutions, including leading and conducting Chinese language education research projects; a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and strong and highly developed leadership, organizational and administrative skills. He/She should also have published academic papers of good quality which are related to Chinese reading comprehension and/or Chinese reading assessment. Proven track record in obtaining external grants or funding in relation to the development of Chinese language curriculum and pedagogy is a must.

The appointee will be required to analyze the collected data, conceptualize the experiences and findings of various Chinese language educational research projects to generate research papers and articles for publication, and perform other duties as assigned.
