To promote wellness through the design and implementation of exercise programs for a variety of outpatient rehabilitation and community clients in accordance with the restrictions and recommendations prescribed by other referring rehabilitation professionals. To conduct community programs in accordance with departmental goals, objectives and patient needs.
This position implements exercise programs that have been designed and are supported by externally funded grants.This position is responsible for overseeing one-on-one training sessions with study participants with special consideration for medical conditions.
This position is responsible for maintaining regulatory and departmental documentation regarding measurement of program effectiveness, equipment, study participant attendance and participation.This position is responsible for inventory, exercise equipment maintenance, and clerical duties as it relates to effective and efficient exercise training programs.
Hourly Pay Scale: $14.84 - $23.36
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of healthcare related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Must be able to earn a professional certification in fitness, exercise and/or health training from an accrediting organization, such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), within the first six (6) months of employment. Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
