This position provides staff support to the Department of Physical Therapy (DPT) primarily in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program under the direction of the DPT Program Director and also supports the Admissions Committee Chair. This position reports to the Administrative Supervisor.
Under minimal supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program (s), often of a large and/or complex nature. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Follows established guidelines or protocols. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May participate in program planning and in setting program objectives. May supervise support staff. May act as a communication liaison and special events planner. Interfaces with outside resources such as volunteers, alumni, patients, other professionals in a defined field or with continuing education students. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.
Other Duties Include:
Provides administrative and logistical support to the DPT Program Director and Admissions Committee Chair.
Attends all DPT Faculty Meetings and Curriculum Development Meetings.
Uses multiple technological systems in support of the Program; PTCAS, Salesforce - Target X, WebPT, FSBPT, and is also responsible for creating and maintaining MS Excel spreadsheets, program flyers, and generating reports from these systems.
Carries out established program objectives, directives, and protocols, and especially where it relates to graduate school admissions and graduation requirements.
Coordinates all DPT scholarship activities in conjunction with the DPT Scholarship Committee.
Sending out the solicitation for the scholarships, compiling responses, sitting on the Committee during meetings, and paying scholarships as dictated by the terms of the scholarship.
Maintains program lists including coordinating the creation of and maintaining the student email distribution lists, advisee/advisor lists, and class composites.
Coordinates the new student orientation each January, the Early Acceptance Program event such as the Pre-PT Society meetings, and other programmatic events as indicated.
Hourly Pay Range: $18.37 - $28.85
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
