Grants & Contracts Officer
To provide pre-award and non-financial post-award guidance and processing of simple to complex research grants and contract applications, awards and agreements. To represent the University in negotiating terms and conditions of agreements with private and public sponsors. To assist faculty researchers with contractual matters related to sponsored research activity. To provide assistance, as applicable, to junior and senior staff in the administration of sponsored programs.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Science, or related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
The ideal candidate will have experience with federal grant administration, research contracts including subrecipient agreements; working knowledge of IRAP system, ASSIST, Workspace, Fastlane, Grants.gov, Research.gov, eRA Commons, and experience working in research portal environment are a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve and recognize issues are necessary for success in this position. Strong organizational, analytical skills and a customer service attitude is imperative. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is required.
