The department of Gender & Race Studies seeks a renewable 1 year I2 instructor position to teach upper and lower undergraduate courses as well as graduate level courses, due to increased enrollment.

Instructor: African American Studies and Women’s Studies
The Department of Gender and Race Studies at The University of Alabama is seeking an instructor to fill a one-year renewable instructor position in Women’s Studies, beginning August 16, 2019. The instructorship is non-tenure-earning, but is renewable based on need, funding and performance. Courses to be taught include Introduction to Women’s Studies, Introduction to African American Studies, and Undergraduate and Graduate Interdisciplinary Special Topics courses in the Critical Race Theory and Women’s Studies Fields. Ph.D. in Gender and Women’s Studies or a related field is strongly preferred. Master’s degree required. Evidence of teaching excellence is required.
