Position overview
The position is based within the the Farquhar Lab at ANU and will liaise with Professor Barbour at The University of Sydney. The Postdoctoral Fellow will undertake independent and/or team lead research on the project "To Peclet or not to Peclet? Understanding leaf water isotope composition", financed by the Australian Research Council (ARC). Applications are particularly invited from researchers whose interests are in the areas of water relations, gas exchange and/or stable isotope physiology.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will have a PhD in plant physiology, physics, physical chemistry or engineering, relevant to stable isotopes, plant water relations, gas exchange or microscopy, with a track record of independent research in one of these fields as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
The position is ideally full-time; however part-time would be considered for the ideal applicant. The position is a Continuing Contingent Funded (CCF) appointment for 12 months, with the possibility of extension pending funding availability.
