We are seeking a part-time, undergraduate research assistant. The selected candidate will report to Prof. Mario Macis at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. The research assistant position will largely involve data cleaning and organizing, and statistical analyses. The research assistant will also assist with conducting literature reviews, summarizing and communicating information and findings, preparing tables and charts, and drafting presentation slides. The ideal candidate should have strong quantitative and statistical programming skills and the ability to work independently, with problem-solving initiative. Knowledge of Stata is required, and prior experience as a research assistant is strongly desired. The position is ideal for students interested in pursuing an advanced degree in economics, public policy, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in related discipline and some related experience required. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula:  30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.  Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis.  For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
