Sheffield Hallam University is an ambitious university and one of the largest in the UK, with an excellent track record and an exciting future. We place huge emphasis on creating the highest quality learning environment that inspires students to succeed.

We are looking to recruit a deputy vice-chancellor who will help us go further in realising our ambitions. We are looking for an exceptional individual: a collaborative, inspirational leader who will work with an engaged and cohesive leadership team and galvanise energies across the university. You will be outward-looking, with the presence to become a leading figure in higher education. You will have a strong record of leadership, having led the development of educational strategy with the demonstrable ability to turn this into reality.

Recognising the outstanding strengths we already have, you will set the pace for a further step-change in the performance of the University, shaping student experience and the university’s academic portfolio.

You’ll be joining a University that aims to excel in achieving outstanding outcomes for all students, a University that puts quality and equality first, a University that secures the highest standards of learning, teaching and research.

We aim to be a great university creating opportunity, leading social, economic and cultural change in the region, and establishing a model of what imaginative and ambitious universities can do. If you are excited by our vision and have the passion and determination to make a real difference to the University, its students and its region, we want to hear from you.
