In the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluation in 2018, Griffith was one of just four universities in Australia to receive the highest possible rating of '5' for Political Science. This was Griffith's third consecutive '5' ranking in Political Science since 2012.

The opportunity

The Research Fellow (Post-doc) will conduct research that contributes to the outstanding record of political science research in the Centre for Governance and Public Policy. The successful candidate will be required to develop a strong publication record in leading international journals and book presses, while also contributing to the Centre's research projects.

This is a fixed term (two years), full time position based at the Nathan campus.

About you

Applicants must hold a PhD in Political Science or closely related field. The ideal candidate will have the demonstrated ability to publish in leading international publications. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to meet competing deadlines, and work effectively as a team member.

Salary range

Research Fellow, Grade 1: $73,791 - $86,579 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $86,336 - $101,299 per annum.
