Patient Experience Project Manager
Assists in the management efforts within the Office of Patient Experience and Engagement (OPXE). With direction from the Sr. Director, this position supports, coordinates and executes initiatives within the office to enhance the UAB Health System’s strategy to become a top performing health system in the area of patient experience and engagement. This position serves as a coordinator for patient experience and engagement across UAB Health System.
Focused on improving the patient experience.
Facilitates data support efforts for cross-functional teams in order to improve the patient experience.
Assists in tracking projects and activities for the Office of Patient Experience and Engagement.
Analyzes and interprets patient experience data to identify trends, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
Serves on performance improvement teams where patient experience data is being utilized.
Coordinates interdisciplinary teams with an emphasis on developing and refining methodologies to continually improve the patient experience and engagement across UAB Health System.
Contributes to the development, implementation, and execution of all Patient Experience and Engagement improvement efforts.
Supports patient experience improvement efforts with UAB Medicine clinical and operational leaders as needed.
Coordinates the access and use of patient experience data, which includes running reports, interpreting scores, and prioritizing action items for improvement.
Identifies industry-wide best practices related to Evidence-Based, Patient Experience coaching efforts. Works collaboratively with the OPXE Team, organizational leaders, staff, and physicians/faculty to assist in implementation and embed within training efforts.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of Office of Patient Experience and Engagement efforts across UAB Medicine.

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three (3) years related health care experience required.
