The discipline is the third largest discipline in the University and is renowned for its undergraduate courses and postgraduate clinical programs which are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.

JCU Psychology is currently reinvigorating itself to become globally recognised for its distinct psychology offerings and world class programs. We are currently developing new initiatives across our discipline including building research capacity and reviewing curriculum. As a result an opportunity has arisen for an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology to join JCU to lead the Clinical Program and advance research excellence across JCU campuses. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the discipline of Psychology through learning and teaching, research, clinical and research supervision and community engagement.

Candidates will bring a distinguished record of achievement in clinical psychology including an excellent research track record and a commitment to teaching, learning and clinical supervision. They will be a leader in community engagement and will have demonstrated experience of establishing a culture of teamwork within the Discipline of Psychology. The successful candidate must be eligible for full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Psychologist and to supervise postgraduate clinical psychology students.
