The School is now seeking a new Head, reporting to the Dean of Engineering, to lead its strategic direction and growth at a highly exciting time in its development. An excellent academic in their own right, the new Head of School will have successfully led the development of world-class research and educational activity in a relevant area. An inspiring leader, they will offer a compelling vision for the future of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, such that they will be able to seize this opportunity to contribute to the further success of one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities.
The appointee will have demonstrable experience in improving levels of overall research performance, student education experience and community engagement. They will have the leadership experience, maturity, and strategic thinking required to be an effective member of the Senior Management Team of the Faculty of Engineering and to drive further strengthening of the Faculty’s research capability. They will be an effective relationship manager, capable of developing the talent of staff internally and ensuring the interests of the School are effectively promoted and advanced externally.
