Applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer or Reader in Information Systems in the School of Management. The successful applicant will join the Technology and Information Management subject group and the new Department of Digital Innovation and Management from 1 August 2019). The Subject Group has core research strengths in Information Systems and Digital Innovation and is a healthy mix of research active faculty and teaching focused staff. The Subject Group has grown strongly in recent years and will continue to do so in the future. Colleagues in the group publish regularly in top Information Systems journals such as the Journal of the Association of Information Systems, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems and Information Systems Frontiers.
Applicants will contribute to high quality Information Systems research and teaching within the group in order to consolidate and advance the School’s strong national and international standing in the Information Systems area.
Applicants for Senior Lecturer or Reader are expected to be educated at doctoral level and have a strong track record of high quality research output in Information Systems published in leading peer-reviewed journals or other outlets. The successful candidate would be expected to further develop this record in order to contribute to existing research within the School. Applicants would be expected to demonstrate leadership in research and teaching in the School.
In addition, experience in bidding for external funding and/or engagement in funded activity such as executive education and/or consultancy, will be given consideration in the evaluation process.
